Enter the world of Motor City and the golden age of the American hot rod - classics, stocks, muscle cars, and pure horsepower. Motor City Online is a revolutionary new online PC title that promises to pioneer Motor City, a persistent online community in which players can buy, sell, customize, race and meet other gearheads and motor hounds. Each player must create a unique persona when entering Motor City, thus helping to foster the virtual community experience.
Racing enthusiasts can congregate in 24-hour hot-rodder hangouts where racing challenges can be thrown out to others, players can swap parts and stories, exchange customization tips, join car clubs - and develop rivalries. Wager Motor City "cash" or pink slips in a back street challenge, or compete for the Motor City Cup on the sanctioned racing circuit. Players will race, build up an inventory of cash, cars, and authentic auto parts... and vie for having the reputation as the baddest Rodder in Motor City.
The game also features "The Motor City Gazette" where players can get news, driving tips, buy or sell cars, learn where the cops hang out and who got busted last night for doing 65mph in a 25mph zone.
Between races, the player can scour the new and used car dealerships, junkyards, or the classified section of the Gazette to find rare cars or just the right parts to customize the cars' style and performance. A real-life economy of supply and demand will change pricing and availability based on what's hot and what's not -- which will challenge the player need to think about how to utilize their winnings.
