Eidos, one of the world’s leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, today announced additions to the genre-bending in-game soundtrack for Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood. The sequel to the extreme wrestling phenomenon Backyard Wrestling: Don’t Try This At Home, Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood offers a soundtrack featuring contributions from legendary artists, today’s hottest acts, and tomorrow’s industry leaders. These latest additions further diversify the sound of Backyard Wrestling’s already robust in-game soundtrack.
"With an already massive soundtrack for Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood we had to think hard of how to truly round out the overall sound of the game,” says Kevin Gill, global brand manager / soundtrack supervisor at Eidos. “We have secured the best of the past, present and future of music for The BYW2: There Goes the Neighborhood soundtrack, raising the bar for implementing relevant music that hits home with gamers from any generation.”
The Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood soundtrack boasts a healthy selection of over 50 hard hitting tracks. The ample list balances the melodic, yet urgent "punky" sounds of today’s youth, a strong selection of modern music’s heaviest bands, and a healthy sampling of dynamic hip hop that thinks outside the box. Many legendary artists that have influenced much of the sound of today’s generation will make their FIRST EVER appearance on an in-game soundtrack. The following is the list of newly confirmed artists lending their talents to the official in-game soundtrack:
Saliva - “Survival of the Sickest”
Superjoint Ritual - “Dress Like a Target”
Dropkick Murphy's - “Walk Away”
Kittie - “Career Suicide”
Lamb Of God - “Laid to Rest”
Murs - “You and I”
Illegal Substance - “Step to the Floor”
Kool Keith - “Don’t Crush It (Hakan Lidbo Remix)”
