The beat goes on
THQ Wireless Inc, a leading publisher of mobile games and subsidiary of THQ, Inc (NASDAQ: THQI), announced today that Ministry of Sound: Beat Down will be available for download from all major networks.

This latest game from THQ Wireless based on the world-famous Ministry of Sound (MoS) brand combines MoS dance music together with one-to-one bare-knuckle fist fights between Superstar DJs.

Players choose from one of six DJs - including DJ Dice (a hip hop specialist), DJ Extreme (king of the big beats) and DJ Love (a fan of ambient house). To a backdrop of great dance music, the DJs compete in fast and furious fights with each other, with the aim of rising up the DJs Superstar League.

"THQ Wireless has already proved themselves as an excellent partner for Ministry of Sound and we have high hopes for 'Beat Down' which looks as though it will set new standards in the mobile gaming world," said Rachael Hamilton, Brand Director, Ministry of Sound.

James Scalpello, Marketing Manager at THQ Wireless said: "Our first Ministry of Sound title, released last year, was a rhythm-based dance game. This proved very popular, but Ministry of Sound: Beat Down really widens the gaming experience by bringing together the excitement of an arcade action game with MoS' world-leading dance music."
