The Sleeping Dragon to Fire up ECTS
Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon will be unveiled during an exclusive press conference at this year’s ECTS.

Revolution’s managing director Charles Cecil will demonstrate the game to the world’s media during an invite-only presentation to be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, 29th August, the first day of the show. A spokesperson from Criterion Software will also be speaking, explaining in detail how the use of RenderWare has enabled Revolution’s development team to push the boundaries of creative excellence and deliver a game which truly stands out from the crowd.

“It’s been a while coming,” says Charles, “but the wait is almost over. Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon is on track, and looking amazing. I'm very excited about showing the game for the first time.”

Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon has been in development for the last six months, and is scheduled to release at the end of 2003 on next-generation consoles and PC. The game sees the return of George Stobbard and Nico Collard, two of gaming’s most enduring heroes, who have enthralled over two million games players since the series began.

“Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon fuses exciting gameplay with a radical new Ray Tracing graphic engine, resulting in a fully 3D game that looks and feels unique and which will captivate a broad audience of gamers” adds Charles.

Attendees will see a video trailer followed by a demonstration of playable code by Charles Cecil. A questions and answer session will conclude the conference.

“This is our biggest release to date,” adds Charles, “and what better way to debut it than at Europe’s largest interactive entertainment trade show? Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon has been the subject of much speculation since we announced it. ECTS will be the first chance for the press to see it for real.”
