Konami, Ubi Soft, Capcom, THQ and Activision are among the first of many huge names in the interactive entertainment industry to confirm they will be exhibiting at ECTS – Europe’s premier interactive entertainment expo - when it returns to central London from 29 – 31 August 2002.
All five of these companies have signed up to present their latest product line-ups in both the trade hall of ECTS, and as one of the 12 third party publishers chosen by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to take part in its exclusive PlayStation Experience consumer hall. The PlayStation Experience is the first time ever that ECTS has opened its doors to consumers.
Also in the trade hall, organiser CMP Europe Ltd. is delighted to announce that almost 100 exhibitors, including Intel, ATI and Midway, have signed for the show so far, with still seven weeks to go.
Event Director Andy Lane commented: “This is rapidly turning into a very exciting event indeed, with some of the biggest names in the business taking part in both parts of the show. We’re working hard to ensure that there will be a massive media presence to witness the huge amount of promotional activity that is being planned throughout the show.
“While all the core elements will be present at ECTS this year for industry players to conduct business, this new format for the event will bring back the buzz to ECTS, and make it the true European hot ticket for 2002. It really is a case of ‘watch this space’ as we release new details every week.”
ECTS is organised by CMP Europe Ltd. During the three days of the show, around 20,000 trade visitors and 3,000 press and broadcast journalists are expected to attend, as well as tens of thousands of consumers.
