Infogrames Maintains Strong Position on PC Games Sales Charts

Industry giant continues phenomenal success.

NEW YORK, NY – December 6, 2001 -- Infogrames, Inc. (Nasdaq: IFGM), a global publisher of interactive entertainment software, continues to dominate the Top 10 of the PC games sales charts, as four of its games made NPD’s Hit List for the week ended November 24, 2001, according to leading market information provider NPD Techworld. Infogrames’ RollerCoaster Tycoon came in at #4; Backyard Basketball ranked #6; Survivor: The Interactive Game grabbed the #7 spot in its first full week in stores; and Sid Meier’s Civilization III claimed the #9 slot, its fourth consecutive week in the Top 10. In addition, Backyard Football 2002 and RollerCoaster Tycoon Loopy Landscapes each grabbed slots in the Top 20, further reinforcing Infogrames’ strength in the PC games market.

Making its debut in stores and in the Top 10, Survivor: The Interactive Game is attracting both gamers and fans of the hit TV show alike. The first release in the Survivor series of interactive games Survivor: The Interactive Game features the real-life casts from the first two Survivor television seasons -- Pulau Tiga and Australia -- and incorporates many of the exciting elements from the show, including the infamous Immunity Challenges and Tribal Council. Sid Meier’s Civilization III, which has earned rave reviews from the gaming press, has not left the Top 10 since it entered the chart at #1 the week of October 28th. That same week marked the only time RollerCoaster Tycoon has dropped from the Top 10 (to #11) since its release in the spring of 1999. And Backyard Basketball continues to draw fans of the successful Backyard Sports franchise.
