EA SPORTS is pleased to announce that Thierry Henry will be the official face of the forthcoming FIFA 2002 video game in the UK, due for release in Autumn 2001, for the Sony Playstation 2, PlayStation and PC. At the young age of 24, Thierry has already played on the winning French side in the 1998 World Cup, the European Championship in 2000 and also features as the star striker for Arsenal Football Club. We are delighted to have Thierry as a key figure in FIFA 2002 as well as featuring on the UK pack and in the print advertising campaign.
Year on year the FIFA team strive to work with the finest football talent in the world and Thierry more than fits that criteria. In earlier versions of FIFA, EA SPORTS has worked with high calibre talent such as Paul Scholes and Sol Campbell, and looks forward this year to the same high level of success enjoyed previously.
FIFA 2002 will offer more licensed leagues, teams, and competitions than any other game in the industry; combined with great new single-player features, a unique reward system, and the chance to qualify your country for FIFA: World Cup 2002. With the totally re-invented game-play and stunning graphics, FIFA 2002 is poised to deliver the most complete football game ever.
