In a first for any PlayStation 2 title, the firm has launched a pan-European League, designed to settle once and for all the eternal question: Which country has the best drivers?
The Gran Turismo A-Spec Winners’ Guide League – online now at www.authorisedcollection.com – will run for six months, and is open to all Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec players from PAL territories.
Each month, a new set of tracks will be unlocked on the site, and registered users invited to input their fastest lap and race times. The player who puts in the best overall performance across the entire track set will be deemed the winner – netting a superb, yet secret, prize.
Players will be picked at random throughout the competition to prove their times, eliminating the chance of cheating. The overall winners will also need to submit proof of their times at the conclusion of the competition – and if there is any hint of indiscretion, the prize will be awarded to next-best player.
Throughout the competition, the web site will unveil hints and tips taken from the Official Winners’ Guide, in order to help players get their lap times down. Additional track secrets will appear sporadically, in order to keep things interesting.
