Superstar footballer Roy Keane is ready to take on the world in the new EON Digital Entertainment game for the PlayStation 2 - International League Soccer - the definitive next generation football title for PlayStation 2., due to release throughout all PAL territories on 8th June this year.

Roy Keane has recently been named as the captain of the Republic of Ireland International team and has also played right-back, in central defence and in every midfield position for Manchester United FC and Sir Alex Ferguson since signing from Nottingham Forest FC in 1993.

Roy Keane said: "I'm really pleased to be involved in a Playstation 2 game and there couldn't be a better one than International League Soccer. Its graphics and realism are brilliant and the World Ranking Mode means players from all over the World can compete with each other. It's a scorcher of a game!"

Thanks to the World Ranking Mode (www.internationalleaguesoccer.com), games players can challenge contestants worldwide for the ultimate accolade - to be crowned the greatest International League Soccer player and the opportunity to actually meet Roy Keane in person.

International League Soccer has received the backing of Diadora, the international sports brand based in Italy.

Diadora, who sponsor Keane, has played an active role in the creation of the game to ensure its authenticity, with their branding appearing on the in-game billboards and stadia.

The Italian football boot manufacturer is also supplying limited edition T-Shirts, footballs and posters to support the launch of International League Soccer.

John Burns, President for EON, comments:

"To sign Roy Keane and Diadora for International League Soccer is a major coup for EON, with their reputation for excellence and passion for football they were the perfect choice to help us develop the game and clearly demonstrates EON's ability to aggressively bring a product to market."
