Each of these powerfully punchy products will be available in the intense Game Boy Color and will feature Cartoon Network's The Powerpuff Girls. The three games from BAM Entertainment, Bad Mojo Jojo, Paint the Townsville Green, and Battle Him, are all developed under license from Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Each game will feature a different Powerpuff Girl as the star. Bad Mojo Jojo, the first game to appear on the European market in June 2001, has Blossom, the fire-haired leader of The Powerpuff Girls, taking center stage.

In the United States, BAM launched The Powerpuff Girls Game Boy Color Games in November 2000 achieving sales to date of over 600,000 units. On the other side of the Atlantic, The Powerpuff Girls have attained a high profile across Europe thanks to their daily airing on Cartoon Network and their prime TV slots in key European markets. According to Cartoon Network, in the UK alone, The Powerpuff Girls were watched by 7 million people in the last quarter of 2000 on Cartoon Network and Channel 5 (Source: BARB 2000).

"We believe that the strength of Ubi Soft's distribution network in Europe, combined with their proven ability to successfully market family based products will enhance our presence in Europe" said Anthony Williams, CEO of BAM Entertainment, Inc.

Ubi Soft's European Managing Director, Alain Corre added "The Powerpuff Girls is a fantastic license and it fits well with the Game Boy Color target audience. We are delighted to start a relationship with BAM Entertainment and are confident we will see success in Europe with The Powerpuff Girls".
