THQ International Ltd today announced that it will distribute Conker's Bad Fur Day for the Nintendo 64 system in Europe in April, 2001. Conker's Bad Fur Day, developed by the world-renowned game designers at UK-based Rare Ltd., is an innovative gaming experience for mature gamers. Conker's Bad Fur Day takes gamers to a new level of gameplay like no other video game before it. After a wild night out, Conker the squirrel awakens to a Bad Fur Day. Experiencing the hangover of a lifetime, he gets lost on the way home and stumbles into a world of abusive paintpots, jabbering dung beetles, and flesh-eating dinosaurs. Now, this frying-pan-wielding fur ball is going to unleash his foul mood on everybody.

"We're excited to be a part of this unique opportunity to work in association with Rare to launch Conker's Bad Fur Day in Europe. Rare has truly out-done itself with this new genre in gaming while at the same time providing gamers with the exceptional gameplay one would expect from a Rare title," said Tim Walsh, Senior Vice President of International Publishing, THQ.

“Conker’s Bad Fur Day is a seminal title, and perhaps Rare’s greatest achievement to date. It is a great honour for THQ to be given the opportunity to work with Nintendo and Rare on Conker,” added Ian Curran, Managing Director, THQ UK & Export.
