dtp releases new artworks on the upcoming Jane Jensen adventure Gray Matter

Gray Matter: Dread Hill House

Posted by Staff
Hamburg/Germany: March 2, 07 - For a long time, nobody has entered the walls of Dread Hill House. Since the death of his wife in an accident, neurobiologist Dr. Styles has been living reclusively in the English manor.

Now four new pieces of artwork show off insides and outsides of the central location of Jane Jensen's Gray Matter. The Gabriel Knight author's new adventure game will be published by dtp label ANACONDA in Q1 2008.

The gothic-romantic mansion near Oxford University was built in the 19th century. Since his wife's death, once renowned Dr. David Styles has become a hermit in the spacious house. The grand foyer is richly decorated with old and expensive furnishings, but it also shows signs of neglect. Young Samantha Everett first enters Dread Hill House here. By chance the American turns up on the Doctor's doorstep, just as he is looking for an assistant.

Without further ado, the inquisitive street performer lands the job and is tasked with finding volunteers for Styles' new experiment.

In the manor's basement, Styles has set up a cutting-edge laboratory. The large lab room house six beds, equipped to measure the test subjects' brain activity. Sam recruits six students from the nearby university that volunteer to take part in an unusual experiment on hypnosis. The tests start out harmless enough - but soon unexplainable things occur at Oxford's campus.

In Gray Matter, players control both Sam and Dr. Styles in classic point & click fashion as they try to uncover the secrets of Dread Hill House. In true Jane Jensen style the story combines facts with eerie incidents and supernatural events.

dtp will publish Gray Matter in Q1 2008 worldwide on their ANACONDA label.

The game is in development at Hungary's Tonuzaba Entertainment.
