Sports Interactive Host IRC
Sports Interactive is going online on March 1st for the first Internet Relay Chat (IRC) to be hosted from its new-look web site.
Both Paul and Oliver Collyer will be logging on at 4PM (GMT) to chat with the huge Championship Manager community. Joining in with the chat will be as simple as falling off a log; fans simply visit www.sigames.com and click on the 'Live Chat Now' icon. The software will be automatically loaded via their browser, and then they're ready to go.
"I have to say that we really do enjoy doing this kind of thing," offers Oliver Collyer, joint Managing Director of Sports Interactive. "Talking to the fans is a great laugh, and a great way to stay in touch with our incredibly strong and large fan base."
"We've also picked up a few ideas in the past when doing online chats," adds Paul Collyer, also joint managing director of Sports Interactive. "We're always looking for ways to improve Championship Manager and the fans give us some great feedback. And, of course, it's a lot of fun."
Sports Interactive will be online at 4PM on Thursday March 1st for at least two hours.
