It's been a while since we've been graced with the rather shameless corporate marketing of Microsoft Japan's Xbox Special Forces Division, and now we know why - the campaign ended some eight months ago.
A tweet at the official Xbox_JP account confirmed that the promotional series, featuring three businessmen Morito, Izawa and Xbox-logo-for-a-head San Roku Maru securing big third-party titles for the Xbox 360 in Japan, was put to an end at the end of 2010. The series began in January 2010.
The series was quite high profile and popular with gamers worldwide, as adverts hit YouTube for all to see. Campaigns included Final Fantasy XIII, Idolmaster 2 and Monster Hunter Frontier Online.
