Atari's top brass is seeing a shuffle, as deputy chief Jim Wilson has been selected to replace Jeff Lapin as the company's new CEO.Lapin is leaving the firm for reasons unknown after a year in the executive position. Chairman Frank Dangeard said that "Jim has the board's full support as he continues to drive new goals of growth and success."
The company has had to scale back its operations in recent years, as it left its European activities to Namco Bandai and focused on digital projects in the US market. The company is said to be turning a corner with its Atari GO service, and Dangeard added that "at the end of Jeff's mandates, Atari is better positioned as we enter the next strategic phase of our plan."
