EA and Visceral Games have announced that Dead Space Ignition - the prologue to Dead Space 2, will be available October 13 as a free download to anyone who pre-orders Dead Space 2... in North America.
"Dead Space Ignition reveals the events leading up to Dead Space 2 and rewards players with unlocks including an exclusive Hacker suit which can be used by engineer Isaac Clarke in Dead Space 2", says the blurb.
If you don't pre-order, then Ignition will cost $5 on October 12 for PSN, or 400MS points on October 13for Xbox Live.
