Summary
The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena continues the story of one Richard B. Riddick, possibly the last member of the Furyan race and an infamous galactic criminal with many escapes from high security prisons to his credit.
One such escape was from the Butcher Bay triple max security prison, an escape that was shown in the game The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, which was very well received by fans and reviewers alike, on the Xbox and PC. Dark Athena is more than just a sequel to that game: it actually comes with the first game, which is good news for anybody that didn't get a chance to play Butcher Bay.
Both games are set before the events in Pitch Black, the film that introduced Riddick to the world. Also, both are first-person, stealthy shooters that involve both close-in and ranged combat styles. However, while Butcher Bay involves a prison escape, the new campaign sees Riddick fighting for his life while dispatching the crew of the mercenary ship Dark Athena.
The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena boasts 20 hours of play across the two campaigns as well as six online multiplayer modes to keep you busy. You're not afraid of the dark, are you?
