Summary

Gamers of a certain age (i.e., old) will remember when Boulder Dash first broke on to the scene, way, way back in 1984. Now Rockford has returned - this time making his way to handhelds.

Old timers will find the basic mechanics of the series the same. It's all arcade/puzzling fun. Players move around the levels, gathering diamonds as they race the clock, dodging falling rocks and enemies as they go.

A number of nifty tools are on offer such as bombs and lasers that can be loaded up with different types of ammo. The lasers will grant you various temporary abilities such as freezing foes, bashing boulders and pulling diamonds and other objects in your direction.

In addition to the single player campaign, which takes place over 130 levels spanning four worlds, four different game modes are on offer, including a multiplayer offering. << less
