The Sims on Holiday is the latest expansion pack for The Sims series of games for the PC. If you’re looking to expand the boundaries of their lives, and what good god wouldn’t, what better way than to go on vacation?

The Sims is a weird game, more akin to a social experiment where you get to tamper with people's lives. You create a neighbourhood of seemingly intelligent residents and control nearly every aspect of their existence. Which can be more interesting than it sounds, especially when events follow unexpected paths. You can instigate social interactions but how they play out is as random as life itself. The Sims is like an interactive Soap Opera where you’re the director, if not the scriptwriter.

Being on holiday is more fun than living through the mundanity of everyday life. Escape the boredom and jet off to three unique and fully customisable locations. What’s your pleasure? A snowy alpine resort, a beach hideaway, and a forest campground comprise the getaway destinations.

Naturally, each location has a wide variety of activities and characters to interact and have fun with. Beach Volleyball, snowboarding, and hunting are just a few examples of the holiday experiences, plus a wide variety of new social interactions are introduced to increase the possible situations and outcomes.

Tourists are easy targets for thieves and the same is true for The Sims on Holiday. Keep an eye open for pickpockets: you don’t want to have to cut short your vacation because of a lack of funds. At the end of the day, your Sims can buy and win a whole assortment of souvenirs to take home to remind them of their journey.

If you own The Sims original and just cannot get enough, you should pick up this fun expansion pack.
