Addictive gameplay plus state of art real time graphics equals one shooting game that is worth checking out.
When you start Silpheed, there is only a limited selection of available weapons to equip to either your left or right wing. As you progress through the game, more highly destructive weapons like the optic laser become available. Having the right combination and balance of weaponry is vital for success.
The basic aim of Silpheed is to shoot all enemies while avoiding all attacks. You always feel in control of your craft and avoiding enemy fire takes concentration, but is always possible.
The backgrounds are amazing to look at and the audio is worth cocking an ear to. Overall, a quality flashback to the past. << less
