This game is your chance to pilot some of the coolest vehicles from the Star Wars universe plus take control of super villains like Boba Fett and Darth Maul. The aim of the game is to destroy all to prove to Jabba that there is no one better than you.
There are several game modes to choose from such as battle, which is straight-forward combat, to hunt-a-droid and the all-important tournament mode. The tournament mode is where you have to compete in four stages and take on one additional opponent for each stage you complete. When you are fighting four opponents having good tactics is essential. At times you have to run and pick up power-ups like cloak, let your weapons slowly recharge and then dive back into the fray.
Scattered throughout the levels there are recharging stations for your weapons and shields. In tournament mode it costs credits to use these stations so use them cautiously as it is important to finish with more than 10,000 credits to unlock the secret characters.
It is possible to charge your weapons up to a devastating level-four attack, each vehicle has a special move for this powered-up attack. If you hit your opponent with a level two/three attack it will build up your force multiplier, then when the level four blow is unleashed you can expect a huge bonus and mass destruction. Droids roam the arena and can be destroyed to reveal additional weapons, these secondary weapons can also be charged to launch quad-rockets for example.
When an opponent is fatally weakened a final blow can be struck by releasing two simultaneous level-four attacks, very pleasing for the spectators gambling on the outcome of the fight and for your point total.
The multi-player aspect of this game is thoroughly enjoyable and will have you coming back more, time and time again.
