Tomb Raider - Game Boy Color
Summary
Since the launch of the original Tomb Raider back in 1996, Core Design created a phenomenon within the video games industry. Such was the success of Lara Croft and her Tomb Raiding antics that a series of successful sequels were produced. One every year, in fact. Many of you maybe wondering just how good a 2D conversion of a 3D game would work. The truth is, this conversion plays entirely different to its 3D counterparts. Thats not to say that its a bad game. Many of you will remember Prince of Persia back in the early nineties. This is of particular reference, since the game play within the two games are virtually identical, the only difference being that you have guns instead of a sword. The theme, however remains loyal to its predecessors. Lara can still jump, climb, swim and shoot through many locations throughout the world. Once again she must conquer the traps that lurk in deep deserts and temples, and defeat monsters of all kinds using weapons ranging from pistols to grenade launchers.
So, the 2D conversion of Tomb Raider remains a faithful addition to the rest of the series. And whats more, its portable!
