Microsoft Pledges to Deliver Xbox 360 in Europe and Japan in 2005
At the Xbox Summit held in Tokyo this morning, Microsoft has pledged to deliver the Xbox 360 to Europe and Japan inside 2005, ending speculation that one or both territories would face a considerable wait.

Microsoft stated at this year’s E3 that it would aim to deliver Xbox 360 in time for the holiday season in the US, starting at the end of November. It also stated that Europe and Japan may face a wait of up to six weeks, setting off alarm bells with gamers who feared that a post-Christmas release date could very well be extended into spring 2006.

Microsoft also confirmed that a 20GB hard disk would be bundled with all Xbox 360 consoles in all territories.

LOL. Six weeks around November is a long time. So basicly what MS are saying in b******s terminology is that we aren't gonna see 360 til new year, which strangely is exactly when people have no money after blowing it all on Xmas.

I'm sure sony will be happy at this news which will give PS2/PSP more breatihing space to sell. as the same will be for Nintendo's GBA Micro.

If 360 turns up on sale mid December u.k, e.u and Japan this is gonna cause a bit of chaos in an already busy xmas period, giving folk about 11 days to bag one for xmas. Not the best plan IMO but we'll see how it goes. Perhaps they just wanna secure the highest sales at home first before Sony get to market.

20GB eh? Sounds nice enough.

So, 20 GB HD bunbled in hey...ok MS, let's talk price. Everyone knows you lost a bucketload of money on that component with the Xbox. X360 has to be profitable in the year 2007... give us a pricepoint please...

I got a bad feeling about this.

And coming christmas period is going to be hell, DS and PSP duking it out in full force, the new Zelda, and the X360. Too much things going for that same pool of money...something is going to flop.
