Harvest Moon Gamecube Sequel Confirmed

Natsume's niche farm 'em up returns.

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is unarguably an unusual game, but one that has plenty of ardent fans nonetheless. Although Natsume’s agricultural lifestyle sim has never been a big seller (particularly not in Europe), it’s now a fairly long-standing series – rooted in the SNES’ 16-bit glory days, with multiple Gameboy and Playstation versions and even PSP and DS versions supposedly in the offing.

Given this history, it’s no surprise to learn that another new Harvest Moon game is on the way. Currently titled Harvest Moon - A Wonderful Life 2, it looks to be a straight-up sequel to the recent Gamecube release. Although no PAL version has been announced, providing that the original title sells in sufficient quantity, that’s pretty much an inevitability.

No further details have been made available yet, and on checking the game’s official page on the Nintendo website, the only information we could find was “This game has been announced. Check back soon for more information.” So there you have it, we’ll check back soon, and then provide you with more information.

Nevermind another harvest moon, where's Animal Crossing 2 ??

Maybe they could do an Animal Crossing / Harvest Moon crossover. :)

You could marry one of the animals and start a farm in the town, raise a family of... um, maybe not.

Give it time, I'm sure we'll get it. It's nice to see a sequel on the way, to an rpg that isn't all hack and slash action. Harvest Moon is a sleeper hit kind of game, so I expect the sequel will do the same. However a DS version could boost GC versions of the game.

This day just gets better and better. First Silent Hill 5 is comfirmed but now Harvest Moon 2. I'm a huge fan of the series. I just hope they make it a little more like the Gameboy version when it comes to crops. Ie you can plant them anywhere rather than in a selection of pre made fields. Only down point for me. That and I still haven't figured out how to sell my Crops :(

Anyway I still can't wait and Animal Crossing 2 would be nice too! Swear it was announce a while ago but heard nothing since. I would really like to see it go online some how. Maybe not as a MMORPG but perhaps make like servers for 4 people and have them move their houses into that town temperaily. It would make multiplayer much easier. Hell it would be nice to be able to visit other peoples towns via the internet. Such a shame Nintendo refuse to take Online seriously...some of their games would be perfectly suited for it.

>just great why another awl they should have made an entirly new game

well, it's not as bad as in japan, where they released a 2nd version of awl, called 'awl for girl', where you play the exact same game, but as a girl instead of a boy, which surely should have been an option at the start of the game instead of a whole seperate game.
