Massive Sammy Roll-out From Sega Looms
According to reports breaking in Japan this morning, Sega is poised to release a huge amount of Sammy games in the region for PlayStation 2.

Early reports suggest that Sammy's home software, the majority of which is made up of AtomisWave arcade ports, may make up to half of all PlayStation 2 software released by Sega Japan over the course of the next 12 months.

As you will know, the first Sega-published Sammy game to be announced - and to be released on a global basis - is Seven Samurai 20XX, due for release for PlayStation 2 later this year.

We'll bring you updates from two retail meetings in mid-April, at which Sega will show "a considerable amount on new software". More significant light should be shed on what's in store then, so stay tuned.

How clever! Release a game in the 21st Century, give it a suffix like 20XX, and your game is almost a timeless classic. Unless it's another piece of s**t hackenslash with a nebulastoryline. Have i rumbled it yet, Sammy?

The swords slashing will sell it to the Dynasty Warriors and Devil May Cry fans. I hope Sammy don't start ruining Sega's hard built reputation for good games, by releasing gnats chuff games.
