It’s Another Big-name FPS With a Vague Date!
It wouldn’t be difficult to make an argument that developers and publishers of big-name, first-person shooters need bringing down a peg or three. Doom 3, Half-Life 2, Halo 2…you all know the score.

Anyway, the latest blockbuster in the genre to receive a frustratingly vague release date is Valve’s Half-Life 2, a hugely anticipated title that was originally slated to hit retail before Christmas of last year.

Speaking to CNN Money, Valve frontman Doug Lombardi said that the development team "...is currently targeting this summer for the completion of Half-Life 2...for the game’s final release".

Lombardi also stated that the game will be shown in almost complete form at this year’s E3 on its own dedicated stand. Again…

We’ll bring you updates on Half-Life 2 as the weeks and months tick by, and full coverage from E3 of course.
