Remember the Game That Made the World Say ‘What the…?”
Nintendo conferences are usually joyous affairs, with the annual E3 event the highlight of the year. Press and the omnipresent assortment of 14 year-old CEO’s can usually enjoy a mixture of all-new games and favourite franchises, as well as Satoru Iwata’s somewhat frightening fist-shaking.

However, last year something strange happened; so strange that the entire games industry gasped a collective “What the…?”

Nintendo frontman Shigeru Miyamoto exclaimed, “Right, now it is time to get down to business. I‘m going to show you an update to a classic series, with a character I’m sure you all love and recognise…”

Understandably, the world thought that a new Mario game, a true successor to the splendour that is Mario 64 was about to be revealed. But no, it was Pac-Man Vs, which is a cracking little game, but well, you know what we mean…

Anyway, the news today is that Electronic Arts will be releasing Pac-Man Vs as a freebie with the disastrous R: Racing Evolution into Europe on March 26.
