Testers wanted for fake console

Infinium Labs, the outfit behind the Phantom gaming console, is hitting the headlines today, requesting beta-testers for its project, despite escalating talk that the whole thing is a hoax.

Yes, by heading over to Infinium Labs’ site, you too can sign up to test a device that may or may not exist.

We sent several emails to Infinium, and received only this as a reply. “We greatly appreciate your comments and suggestions. We have received thousands of e-mails and are working to address all the inbound questions. We will use this information to help guide the development process while we work towards our December launch. Please reply if you would like to be considered for beta testing our new system. We will contact you if we feel your qualifications meet our needs. Thanks again, and keep your eyes on us... Infinium Labs Corporation.”

Hmm…

It’s a strange one isn’t it? According to the site, the Phantom will be unveiled at this year’s Ultimate Gamers Expo, due to take place in August in Los Angeles. Indeed, the event does list Infinium as an exhibitor.
