Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan has officially spoken out for the first time on the future development of its home console division.
The firm has flatly denied that it has signed any research and development deal with any of the Taiwanese firms widely named in the press of late. It also denied reports that suggested that it has already decided upon certain key hardware features for any future product.
Of course, this is all good PR and well-executed spin from the Japanese owner of the games industry.
