That's right, Titanfall's multiplayer will be limited to 12 players per match - 6v6. According to the development lead at Respawn, Vince Zampella this player count offers "the best balance".
As always, gamers are voicing (well, typing) their criticisms of what seems to be a very, very low player count for such a massively high profile title surrounded by so much games media hype and expectation.
Vince reassured fans that, "A 6v6 game can be a crazy experience, very fun. It is what we find most fun. There are other games with higher player player counts if that's your metric.". Yup, it's a bit of a "if you don't like it, change the channel" comment.
Zampella went on to clarify that "everyone can have a Titan in follow or guard mode" - there's also going to be a bunch of AI soldiers doing... well, whatever soldiers would do in the face of giant mechanical killing machines, I guess.
Titanfall's set to hit Xbone, Xbox 360 and PC on March 14th - why not head over to our dedicated game page for some more info?
