PS4 Sales Walloping Xbox One in the USA says Pachter
Michael Pachter, Managing Director, Equity Research at Wedbush Securities and gets his video games hardware and software guesses and/or figures from somewhere with authority. At least you'd hope so when he makes massive statements like this one...

Mr P thinks that the PS4 has outsold Xbox One in the USA since the former was launched on November by an absolutely mind-boggling large number 'mirroring' the sales disparity we've already seen in the UK.

MCV reports that, "Michael Pachter has said in his most recent investor note that he believes PS4 sold 1.25m consoles in the region throughout the month and that Xbox One sold 750k."

The PS4 released in the US on November 15th, a week ahead of box One's November 22nd debut.

Based on the information in the article the PS4 was on sale for 16 days in November and sold 1.25m units and the Xbone was on sale for 9 days and sold 750k units.

In other words, the Xbone was available for 56% of the time and sold 67% as many units.

How do you get from that to saying the PS4 is selling better?

Xbone sales domestically trditionally fare better in this region than any other. The fact that they are also getting whalloped in the UK and Sony has yet to release in it's Japan would indicate that there seems to be a lot more upside for Sony than Xbone.

The PS4 is not beating the XB1 in the US. On a day-to-day basis, the Xbox is outselling the PS4 83k/day vs 78k/day.
