An email allegedly sent from Valve to its Steam publishers appears to have leaked the dates of its Autumn and Holiday sales.
A screen capture of the email in question has surface on Reddit. It says, “The Steam Autumn Sale will run from Wednesday Nov 27 until Tuesday Dec 3. The Steam Holiday Sale will run from Thursday, December 19 until Thursday January 2. Please DO NOT make the dates of the sales public.”
The email is a call for participation in the sales. A Reddit user in the thread says that, "Unfortunately to Valve and others, the screenshot is real and it is not a fake. The screenshot was taken by a Russian developer who has a page on Steam Store (and whose game has been Greenlit some time ago). It was posted on a couple of forums. He also sent one of the copies to me (because I'm the chief editor of the Steam public page on VK.com so he wanted me to publish it)."
Assurances from Reddit users or not, the veracity of the screen capture is still very much up for grabs. Make of it what you will.
