Mr. Frank Gibeau, the boss of EA's mobile business shared his views on their gaming rival Zygna - he says that the competitor "blew it".And he didn't just say it to anybody Here's what he had to say when speaking to The New York Times: “Zynga blew it." See. What else did he have to say?
“They’re not a mobile business. We’re six or seven times their size in mobile. Zynga fell into a hole because they were completely focused on one platform, which is Facebook.”
During the same chat, he also explained EA's choice to distance itself from Facebook: “We saw all the Facebook users going to smartphones.
“You can’t play a game on Facebook on a phone. Coupled with that was the fact that customer acquisition costs were on a straight line up.”
