Microsoft has revealed that it will be refreshing the design of the existing Xbox 360 hardware. The new design, which has been described as quieter, sleeker and smaller, seems to have taken some design cues from the upcoming Xbox One. And it's available from today.
In addition to this, clearly under pressure from the value proposition that Sony's rival PlayStation Plus offers, Microsoft added that it will be making some changes to the Xbox Live Gold service. Up until the launch of Xbox One, anyone who has an Xbox Gold subscription will be able to get two free games every month. Two of the games on offer are Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3.
Finally, Microsoft added that there will be "literally hundreds of new games coming for Xbox 360", despite the fact that Xbox One will be launching soon.
