With the next Xbox due to be announced next week, and the PS4 already official, it seems that uber-publisher Electronic Arts has folded its tents and left the festival of gaming that was once hosted by Nintendo.Despite the fact that former EA CEO John Riccitiello was onboard at the launch of the new - and confusing to many people - Nintendo Wii U in 2011 - the company he once lead seems to have withdrawn support. This is if you read not too deeply into comments made by company spokesman Jeff Brown yesterday.
"We have no games in development for the Wii U currently," was his bald and depressing statement.
According to
Kotaku though, "He did not rule out the chances of EA developing for the Wii U again. EA publishes many of gaming's biggest franchises, including Madden, The Sims, and Battlefield."
We can't see those happening though.
