Square Enix has yet to fully announce its plans for the Wii U, but if a retailer listing is anything to go by, you can count an update of 2011's Deus Ex: Human Revolution to be one such project.A listing on
Amazon describes a Wii U game titled
Deus Ex : Human Revolution Director's Cut, set for a May 7 release date.
Unspecified "improvements, features and additional content" are noted to be featured in the update. The Wii U GamePad said to be used to its "full potential", with the controller used to interact with a new augmentation for Adam Jensen called the 'Neural Hub'.
Nintendo has had a rough time of its Wii U launch, with a dearth of game releases finally being broken this week with the launch of
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Third parties have delayed key releases, cancelled projects or outright said they won't port current-gen games to the system, adding to the console's teething problems.
So it's nice to hear that games like
Deus Ex are coming - and soon, too. As soon as we'll hear comment from Square Enix on the matter, we'll be sure to let you know.
