It's Xbox 360 day today! Hooray! Not only is Mass Effect 3's Omega DLC pack going online in the Xbox Live Marketplace, but the console is also getting a system update that improves SmartGlass behaviour.Speaketh
Major Nelson, official Microsoft mouthpiece, "Starting today when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you'll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update. If you are signed into LIVE already, you may be signed out and asked to accept the update and you'll be back online in a few moments.
"In this update, we are correcting some issues such as displaying the incorrect playlist name when launching a playlist from Xbox SmartGlass to the console, an error with Xbox Video closed-captioning and an error with Xbox Music that some were experiencing."
Isn't that nice? SmartGlass, by the way, is the new technology by Microsoft to allow mobile device users to interact with their Xbox consoles and associated entertainment content. By hooking up a Windows Phone, iOS or Android device, you can fiddle about with all kinds of features thanks to a second screen.
