GameStop: Wii U Premium Pre-Orders Sell Out in the US
Don't look now, but Nintendo could be onto something big with the Wii U. If reports are to be believed, pre-order stock for the upcoming Premium pack has already sold out in the US.

Apparently, GameStop stores across the country have had all of their Wii U Premium stock reservations allocated on a "company wide" level. Meaning that pretty much every single store is out of the sexy black 32GB device. If that's the case, then you can expect the Basic, white 8GB pack to follow suit soon.

Games blog Polygon contacted a number of GameStop stores, which all appeared to confirm the pre-order sellout - some had revealed that around half of their pre-orders had been filled just hours after Nintendo's video conference last week.

There's no word on whether more Premium sets will be available for pre-order - or even after launch.

What're the actual numbers on that?

If they had hundreds per store it'd be very impressive, if they only had two per store, ver much less so.

Why is this important? Right now, hinvag internet access on your TV is not a huge deal, but the Wii looks to be around for many years. Things like watching YouTube videos on your TV, or playing online games, look to become more popular over time. Heck, you can already check your feeds in Google Reader via the Nintendo Wii.
