Xbox 360 Not Banned in Germany as Judge Slams Microsoft and Motorola
Remember when we queried the 'Ban on Xbox 360 in Germany' story (it's here if you don't). Well, as predicted, a judge in the USA has put a temporary stop to it.

At the end of a three hour hearing in a Seattle court, U.S. District Judge James Robart has "The court is well aware it is being used as a pawn in a global, industry-wide business negotiation", according to The Seattle Times.

Speaking about the behaviour of both Microsoft and Motorola, which is suing over patents in Europe, the judge stated that it, "has been driven by an attempt to secure commercial advantage. To an outsider looking at it, it has been arbitrary, it has been arrogant and, frankly, it has been based on hubris."

The cost of the case itself, said Judge Robart, "could finance a small country."

The upshot, however, is that Judge Roberts, "ordered Motorola to hold off from enforcing the ruling until it ruled on a related complaint."
