SOPA Loses Support from EA, Nintendo and Sony
Score one for the video game industry - no doubt following pressure from consumers and the sane side of the general public, it appears that Electronic Arts, Nintendo and Sony have all distanced themselves from the incredibly numb USA Stop Online Piracy Act.

Support for the controversial bill has been officially withdrawn by the three companies. The move couldn't be more timely for Sony, which has been threatened with a 'Death Warrant' by online hacktivist group Anonymous.

It's worth noting that Sony's music divisions - namely Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Sony Music Entertainment and Sony Music Nashville - still have their names down as official supporters. Although you wouldn't expect quite so much common sense from an industry that dragged its heels so far on evolving into the digital space that it practically asked piracy to kill it.

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), of which EA, Nintendo and Sony are members, has not wavered in its support for the bill.

Nice try guys! Trying to sit on both sides of the fence! The only thing that gets you is a sore bottom!
