EA: Our Dev Teams Have More Fun
Never let it be said that Electronic Arts' CEO, John Riccitiello, won't take a chance to have a swing at Activision when one comes up. This chance was while speaking to analysts.

First up, remember Zampella and West and how they left Activision and got signed by EA, and then it all got a bit dirty?

And remember how Treyarch and Infinity Ward are constantly slogging away at Call of Duty?

Well, let's see what JR has to say, "Our third priority is talent. EA has organized to put full responsibility for managing our key brands behind the teams that create them. Rather than scattering the development for console, mobile and social across multiple organizations, we are consolidating key elements of production, marketing and community into one team.

"That's better for consumers because of their creative continuity and improved service across multiple platforms. And it's better for our employees rather than being pigeonholed in the same platform year after year, they see the entire spectrum of gameplay, technology and business model in their franchise. Employees see much better career development and frankly, they have more fun at work."

Plus, EA employees get the excitement of knowing they have a 10% chance of being made redundant towards the end of every year.

I heard that EA were utter cnuts to work for. Like all game devs, only bigger and more so.

To be honest, I would rather be exploited by EA in Vancouver than by Codies in Brum...
