Rumour: Xbox 360 Dashboard Update Hitting 25th November
Report supposedly reveals, then pulls, date of launch.
The new Xbox 360 dashboard looks nice and blocky and all, but when can we expect to download it onto our consoles? Well, fear not - a new report suggests that Microsoft is "targeting" a Friday 25th November date for the changeover.
According to Eurogamer, GigaOM mentioned the date in an article that details the framework being used to code the recently-announced TV applications. These programs - which will contain content from partners such as BBC and Channel 4 - are being written using a modified version of Microsoft's Silverlight browser framework - and the company is still tweaking the codebase up until launch.
Upon inspection however, GigaOM's report mentions nothing of a Friday 25th November date. Either some rather clever deduction was used here, or GigaOM quite quickly removed something that it wasn't allowed to share just yet.
