They may not have decided on a release date outside Japan yet but Sony are keeping the hype train rolling for Vita. In a post on the Sony blog, European Product Manager Adam Grant has revealed the brand new console's box design as well as what software will come bundled on the system.

Along with the PlayStation Store, Trophies and Friends List that have been ported over from the PS3, there's also an Internet browser, music player and camera. Party Chat and Group Messaging has been built in specifically for Vita along with Near, the console's location based gaming network.

All well and good. It's lovely to have a bit of a heads-up on what we'll be able to do with Sony's new handheld wonder machine but it'd be even better to know when the damn thing is coming out. With all this information coming we can only hope that they'll let us know the important stuff sometime soon. With the Japanese launch of December 17th approaching we hope that we're not in the dark for too long.

Let's hope they use a decent browser rather than that heap of crap on the PS3, otherwise its doomed as surf-on-the-go device (tho the battery life might well take care of that)

@config - The browser seems to work pretty identically to the iPhone/iPad browser. It's completely touch controlled. I don't really use the PS3 browser to browse with, so couldn't tell you if this is any better or worse.

Not entirely sure that comes into triyng to make a game that utilises a front touch screen, a back touch plate, a tilt sensor, augmented reality, dual analogs, face buttons and d-pad. I'd be *extremely* impressed if any of their developers could make a game that makes all those nifty features useful. Also exclusives have absolutely nothing to do with what I said lol. They can port exclusives all they like, that won't make the features useful.
