Crytek Hits Back At Claims Of Poor Management
Following the recent allegations of poor management and bad practice at its studio by an anonymous blogger, Crytek co-founder Avni Yerli has spoken out to refute the claims of bad practice and poor management.

The main issue is apparently down to the way that the German company has been treating staff (especially how many key members of development teams have been fired). Yerli describes allegations made in this blog of forced redundancies and of ex-staffers setting their lawyers on the company after being "unlawfully fired" as "misleading", "inaccurate" and in some cases "bullshit".

Yerli says, "It is very distressing for us to think that an individual thinks we have been treating them unfairly."

The blogger also claims that several people in senior positions across the board were removed and replaced with less experienced members of staff, leading to apparent lawsuits.

Says Yerli,"What we offered [those who were released], they clearly didn’t like but it was more than legally required. So they go to court and ask for much more, but in the end they end up getting less or what we offered in the first place, and just go through the pain".

Yerli claims he has no idea who the blog creator is, but also insists he has more important things to worry about. "It’s a very inaccurate article, so it could have come from anyone."

The full interview is available over at Develop and also sees Yerli defending his company's position on crunch in an alarmingly truthful way. Considering the reluctance of many to discuss this issue, it's good to see someone step up and talk about it honestly.
