Sony in Europe at least is preparing to slash the cost of the PlayStation 3 in time for the lucrative Christmas buying season according to industry insiders today.
According to MCV, "An announcement is expected at the August event in Cologne. Trade insiders are hoping for an RRP of £199.99, with retail prepared to go to £179.99."
It is expected that in order to push Xbox 360 and Kinet to the #1 hardware spot, Microsoft will follow suit with some form of 'value add'.
