SEGA has confirmed Creative Assembly's new Alien project, following its leak from British Culture Minister Ed Vaizey earlier today. The UK developer, known best for its
Total War strategy series, is currently undecided as to the target platforms for the project, suggesting that releases on Nintendo or next-generation hardware are possibilities.
A genre for the game hasn't been decided either, with the only slither of information being that it's an "action" title, and that it will be "a peer to
Dead Space 2," according to
CVG.
Creative Assembly is expanding its staff count from 160 to 200 people and adding a 10,000 square foot work space for the project. Should be interesting to see how this one turns out - there are a lot of
Aliens fans out there.
