According to the image you can see in this story, a Gamestop staffer has outed the price and date for Sony's Next Generation Portable (aka, the PSP2).
$299 is the cost. This would make it, according to the image, $50 more expensive than Nintendo's 3DS. However, the release date sees it as the 1st of January 2012.

See, this is why you need to bye a 3ds remmber how much of a failur the psp go was. Nintendo also sold so much more with the Nintendo ds.
