Oh Sony, not again! Apparently the latest PS3 firmware update (3.56) - the one that was supposed to protect us all from evil hackers and their attempts to free the console from DRM and the like - has resulted not in freedom but in the inability to upgrade some hard disks.

According to the Examiner it's "an old bug that has appeared before in a previous firmware update that was eventually fixed."
