PSP Games May Be Re-Released on NGP Cards
Rights issues may prevent most games from re-release.
Sony has said that it is looking into ways for users to play PSP games on the upcoming NGP device. Digital releases on PlayStation Network as well as re-releases on NGP's new card format were raised as possibilities.
Unfortunately the company is already experiencing one major problem in providing back-catalogue PSP titles. Rights issues means that certain games may never be re-released in either digital or physical form. But SCE has told Gigazine that it continues to work with third parties to bring UMD media over to the new platform.
With no plans to offer a UMD Reader of some kind, Sony had nothing to announce regarding the transfer of already-owned UMDs to digital PSN versions, but is looking into it. Given that this was a question raised as far back as the PSP Go's launch in 2009, we'd say the chances of a goodwill system are looking slimmer than Keira Knightley right now.

Not really a big loss is it, that was the PSP`s problem no decent software, i cant see many crying over PSP games on NGP

Even though it looks nice and when it comes out I probably will want to get one, to be honest im not that exited about it.

Agreed, feels like an upgrade than a new console launch, and i will prob buy one and prob want one, but I lack the excitement. same with the 3DS too seems a little underwhelming, i think i have reached an age where i no longer want to game on a hand-held, esp when said hand-held is going to have a battery life of 2 hours, i also see little offering from Kinect and Move which was promised to change the way we play! lies all lies!, can I expect to yawn from PS4 and NextBox details too?

In facto i predict a E3 2011 Wii2 annoucement with Sony and MS showing how to waggle in a new way! and missing the point and the ball by a few years.

Im a bit more excited over the 3ds but, after the first year it will probably end up like all my other handhelds on a shelf. But Wii 2 eh........... that would be nice to see, even if its just for a zelda game with uncharted's level of graphic detail, I maybe 32, but i still get excited over green fairy boys from hyrule.
