Corrupted! Mass Effect 2 PS3 Game Saves Seem Screwed
EA asking users to clean their discs.
PlayStation 3 users have found that their first adventure with Commander Shepard isn't going as smoothly as they'd hoped - Bioware's port of Mass Effect 2 is doing an exceptional job in corrupting save data.
Users on the studio's support forum began reporting incidents of game save corruption six days ago, and although Electronic Arts' technical help desk has responded to emails, the community doesn't appear to be very satisfied.
Some players have been unlucky enough to pump over 30 hours into the game, before experiencing a console crash and their save data virtually destroyed. According to one user, it appears saves are all bundled into the one file - meaning one instance of corruption will knacker all your other saves.
EA support has thus far advised players to clean their discs or delete the corrupted save and try again - neither of which necessarily help the situation admittedly. There was no mention of a bug fix or even an acknowledgement of the issue. We've contacted EA directly for comment.

the game is only 20 Canadian new for the 360 and 60 for the PS3. its perfect on the 360. If anyone wants a PS3 and 15 games 2 controllers and a 320 gig hard drive for $250 Canadian, let me know i want it gone. I cant believe people let Sega die to support SONY. I play my Dreamcast more then PS3.

Just finished the Collector ship mission and the game crashed. I rebooted and all my save info is gone.......Im pissed....... can't believe this happened, and the game shipped like this.

Wow. How important is the "one disc" now PS3 junkies?
I'd much rather get up to put in a second disc than get up to find I just lost 30 hours of the game! Plus, I played and beat the game a year ago.

@Ares why would you buy a 360, to play halo? thats all their good for! ps3 can do a bunch of other stuff And all the other games are the same on ps3- except free to play online! the only exclusive game worth getting a 360 for is now on ps3 also?? have fun with your dream-box, keep on living in the past until you can admit the ps3 REIGNS SUPREME!

Eelrijue i do hate it. I also own it so I have a right to hate. we all got riped off with the PS3.
